About the film
Vartul, Circle of Life, is a deeply personal film that comes from Jakesh’s own observations of life, loss, and the quiet spaces in between.
The film follows a young man returning to his ancestral village after his father’s sudden death. Over fourteen days of mourning, he finds himself suspended between two worlds, the urgency of city life and the stillness of rural existence. In this pause, something within him begins to shift.
